The Newtown Library Company held its Annual Meeting on Sunday, October 26. Dennis O'Brien gave the annual President's report. All board members wished to continue in their current roles.
The following volunteered to be on the board for 2010 and were elected.

DENNIS O’BRIEN, Board President, and Technology committee Chairman Mr. O’Brien has served on the Newtown Library Co. Board of Directors for the past eight years. He was a library volunteer for many years and is a long-standing member. He designed and maintains The Newtown Library Co. web site, and maintains the computers in the library He is a college English professor at Rider University and owns a web design company. Mr. O’Brien is also a member of the Newtown Rotary Club, and the Newtown Business and Professional Association. He is the Mayor of Newtown Borough. |

DONNA GUSTY, Board Secretary, and Public Relations Ms. Gusty has served on The Newtown Library Co. Board of Directors for the past six years and has been a library member for nine years. She was employed as the Director of Information Security & Contingency Services at Dow Jones & Co. She has experience defining organizational and business requirements, developing strategic plans and defining project plans. She now has her own company called Organize It Newtown. |

LOIS SAURMAN, Lois was the long-time secretary for Newtown Borough. She retired from the borough job and now volunteers many hours a week at the library. She would like to see the Newtown Library utilized more. She would also like to see the membership grow and the library become better known to residents of both the borough and the township. This is her second year on the board. | |

GLENN BEASLEY, Strategic Planning Committee Mr. Beasley has a PhD in Chemistry from Yale. He has 29 years of experience in research and manufacturing. One of his key responsibilities has been development and budget management. He has extensive experience working on teams and committees. Glenn initiated and chaired our strategic planning. He is on the governing committee of Newtown Presbyterian Church and a member of the Newtown Financial Task Force and was on the CR District Financial Committee. |

| DAVE KREWSON, Building Committee Chair Dave is a longtime resident. He was the borough solicitor for many years, and has extensive experience in and around the town. He will take over the running of the building. |

PHIL HAGAN Treasurer Phil Hagan has graciously volunteered to return to the library board. He was a long time board member and board president nine years ago. His accounting background makes him a perfect candidate for this position. |
